One city, five ways of reading

Skansen is an independent editorial catalogue for physical books. It presents researched editions and sends interested readers to Amazon; it sells nothing itself.

The route, not a theme park

The catalogue groups five verified English-language editions because each changes the scale of attention. Pocket Stockholm supports movement through districts. Scandinavian Design turns toward objects and rooms. Nordic Tales follows stories across borders. The Nordic Baking Book records repeated material practice. Doctor Glas returns to Stockholm through fiction.

How editions are researched

Each listed book is matched to a specific ISBN. Publisher catalogues provide the primary edition record wherever available; library, distributor or established book records provide a second check. When sources disagree, the difference is noted instead of blended. Cover art is not reproduced unless reuse permission is clear, so this site uses honest bibliographic placeholders.

An editorial catalogue, not a shop

Skansen does not sell books or anything else. There is no cart, order form, checkout, payment collection, delivery service or customer account on this site. Book pages contain external Amazon links only.

Following an Amazon link takes you away from Skansen. Any listing, price, seller, stock status, delivery, payment, return or customer service is provided by Amazon or the marketplace seller under their own terms. Check the ISBN and listing details before deciding whether to buy.

Identity and independence

Skansen is an independent editorial project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Skansen Foundation or the Skansen open-air museum. The museum’s name is used only in a descriptive editorial context. For museum facts, current opening information, tickets and visitor services, consult the official museum website.
